Graduate Trainee Life

I almost forget I own a private space like this. Working life is challenging but this should be expected since I am a graduate trainee, more over working in a corporate.

After first two-week of business induction session in HQ, I am now transferred to Shah Alam Cadbury plant and start my on job training life. The first mission to complete is 3 months production executive role before I move on for the 2 months cross functional rotation. Then it will be followed by 4 months shadowing a manager role and towards completion, 2 months of independent role play.

It’s still too far yet to foresee what is going to happen end of the program. And waiting ahead now is the first 3 months production executive role. I just received 3 months schedule last Friday, 8 projects to handle, with 2 of them are management team projects; then overall more than 20 KPIs to achieve. It’s a tough mission and “Are you kidding me” was the first question came into my mind.

BUT, I am ready for the challenge!

Working life as a whole, for now, so far so good. Wake up 630am, get onto bed 11pm. Definitely a healthy living! 🙂 However I am still trying hard to adapt working in the production environment. I am never a man who enjoy working in the plant, with mask, hair net and coat, wear whole day in the plant. But shadowing production executive, this is must-experience life for the first three months. And I was told to work shift for 2 weeks. If it’s true for only 2 weeks, I am alright; but what if they extend the period? Then I need to suffer from it. 😦 HAHA what to do, again, I can’t escape. Challenge accepted.

I shouldn’t and couldn’t complain about work since it brings no advantages and whether I like it or not, it’s a one-year contract. BUT, I really want to give vent to the congested traffic in Federal Highway every evening. I caught in the jam for a maximum of 2 hours and believe me, 2 hours journey departing from KL and you can actually reach Malacca. Oh gosh, please save me from this irritating traffic.

Ok, 8 projects to complete within 3 months. Wish me luck.
